As busy as I am these days, learning about internet marketing, chauffeuring kids around, making time for diet and exercise and keeping my two habits a week (now up to twelve), we all need a break sometime.
So today I spent most of the day with my nearest and dearest, first for a delicious breakfast and then for the matinee (if matinee is $8.50 a ticket, what is a regular movie ticket?) of Taken, with Liam Neeson.
Great movie.
And it felt good to get out, see other human beings and relax.
One thing about working at home that can sometimes be difficult is the loneliness.
You talk to people online, at the market, running errands, but working at home is not the same as your typical work situation.
There’s no one hanging out at the water cooler to talk about last night’s House episode.
Then again, the pluses of working at home far, far outweigh the drawbacks.
And that’s what’s keeping me going.
