After three days housebound by both the snowstorm and a mild flu, I emerged today to get in a terrific weight workout at the gym, run some errands and spend the afternoon/evening with Abigail.
Like most parents of teenagers, I am constantly striving to improve communications with my daughter.

A grandmother and a little girl whose face was sprinkled with bright red freckles spent the day at the zoo.
The children were waiting in line to get their cheeks painted by a local artist who was decorating them with tiger paws.
“You’ve got so many freckles, there’s no place to paint!” a boy in the line cried.
Embarrassed, the little girl dropped her head. Her grandmother knelt down next...

It snowed from about 6:00 last night (Sunday) until well into the afternoon today.
No school for Abigail. She watched Cold Case and Seventh Heaven all day (her latest faves).
I didn’t have to worry about getting to an office, braving the traffic or the mass transit.
In fact, I stayed in bed until almost 8:00 – almost unheard of for me. Actually I got up, did a few of my habits, and returned...

It’s Sunday night and they’re calling for 8-12″ of snow between now and 4:00 pm tomorrow.
Yippee!
I’ve got no job to go to, have a well-stocked pantry and a cozy house with freshly laundered sheets.
Sounds like a great day to cocoon with my latest books from the Paperback Book Swap and chill.
Of course I’ll be doing my two habits a week – now up to twelve new habits every...

This blog is all about habits – and creating and keeping good, productive habits.
What about those bad habits though?
Habits that don’t enrich your life. Habits that waste time and make achieving your goals more difficult.
Habits like constantly checking email (how many successful internet marketers check their email hourly? Not many, I’d warrant.) or constantly gravitating back to negative...
