When do you give up on a hairdresser?
At what point do you say “that’s it. I’ve had enough!” and begin the search anew for the perfect hairdresser?
I’ve always had a great head of hair. Thick. Coarse. Naturally curly.

Tonight I spent a rather exhausting three hours with my sixteen year old daughter, Abbey.
Abbey spent the weekend at Cape May and somehow her Blackberry became submerged in the ocean. Of course, instead of telling me about it, she calls her sister. Her sister informs her that her cell phone has been through the washing machine twice and lived to tell the tale. She relays to Abbey exactly what she needs to...

Ok, I admit it. I’ve always had rather high end tastes. From handbags to shoes to clothes to makeup and perfume (especially makeup and skincare!) to fabulous restaurants.
But a few years back my lifestyle changed. I divorced and was no longer a part of a double-income home. The economy took a real hit too, in case you hadn’t noticed. Little luxuries seemed like a thing of the past.

Several weeks ago I met my friend Rob’s sisters for the first time.
We met at their marvelous little boutique in Queens and both of the sisters were warm and funny and charming and showered me with attention, resulting in me trying on at least ten different ensembles – all so incredibly flattering – in the course of an hour or so.
What can I say? Since getting divorced and losing my job over a year...
